CASUAL SIGNS TO LOUD
As no surprise to any web head, Casual has decided to
record a 1-record 12" deal with LOUD. As part of the SD50-owned
subsidiary label, Casual will release his forthcoming 12"
and depending on sales / reaction, a full-fledged label deal
could be a possibility in the artist's future. Although the
actual track has yet to be selected, there are currently 5 in
the running; one produced by Phesto, another by SD50 Dante Ross,
and the remainder by Casual himself.
SOULS
& PHARCYDE TEAM UP
News on this ultra-secret Souls project are sketchy,
however, it is known that 3 tracks have already been recorded.
A January release is planned although no record label has been
specified, nor any details regarding the tracks themselves.
It is unclear presently whether or not FatLip is included on
any of the tracks, citing his recent re-acquaintance with the
Pharcyde as of last week.
STINKE
DROPS FULL LENGTH LP
I wanted to let everyone in on a record I just
finished up recording. It's hard to define its genre as the
tracks on the album are highly varied. However, it is undoubtedly
hiphop-based and I welcome you to check it out: www.supremeex.com.
DEL
THE REPO MAN
Boots and company of the Coup have a new record
out titled "Steal This Album", marking it their 3rd
release. Our very own Del is in a somewhat comical skit called
"The Repo Man Sings For You". Here's the track in
all its RealAudio splendor: G2 Player Required. Pick the album
up at CD Now. Lalalalalalalalala...
VIDEO
UPDATES
"You Never Knew" has just debuted nationwide
on The BOX video network as selection # 261. I urge everyone
with this cable service to check it out, and order it if your
local costs are reasonable (usually $1.99 per video). The video
has been receiving a lot of attention from BET and Much Music
in Canada, and we'd like to extended our gratitude. The Hieros
will be filming a Rap City episode for BET on November 18th
and for Rap City on the Much Music Network on November 20th.
We still remain in the top 3 on Sonicnet, so again, THANK YOU
for your continued support! It has been fantastic thus far,
thank you.

SOULS & SOLESIDES TAG UP
The track is called "The Extravaganza"
and features the entire Souls of Mischief collective, Gift
of Gab, Lateef and Lyrics Born. I'm still unsure of who
produced the track. Details regarding the song's release
are still up in the air, however it is certain it will be
published under the Quannum / Solesides label (the latter
being defunct). I'll try to lock down a copy for audible
pleasures.
OLDIES
II NEARING COMPLETION
The oft-delayed successor of the Internet
classic compilation, Domino's Oldies II currently has 1
side completed. The tape will feature an even wider range
of seldom heard Hiero bump from the trenches of the 4 track
vaults. Audible quality is promised to be better, however,
cassette is still the desired platform of choice. Only 1
track has been confirmed thus far, that being the original
version of the classic Souls of Mischief song "Cab
Fare".
POST-FALL
TOUR 98 DETAILS
The fall 1998 Hiero tour has finally concluded,
bringing the fellas back to their homes, and back into the
studio as well. Everyone is very music-oriented at the moment,
with Del working on his 4th record, Casual on his 12",
Souls on numerous projects, and the Prose still coming with
even more shit. Watch for the Hiero's to do scattered shows
from now until January, and perhaps a few promotions in
between. The STRENGTH magazine compilation is expected out
by the end of 98, with 1 cut from Del ("Cyber Punks")
and a rumored 2 cuts from The Prose.
