Our all new Contest for this month allows Hiero fans the chance to name an upcoming Hiero album!
By filling out a very simple form and agreeing to the contest rules (Stated on the contest page), any Hiero fan has the chance to name the forth-coming Hiero Family Album. Although Hieroglyphics can not assure you that the winning entry will be used, every contest entry will be given very serious consideration. If in fact your entry is used, not only can you brag and boast to damn-near everyone that you named that shit, but you'll also be immortalized inside the cover of the album by having a "Thank You" message printed out to your name from the Hiero Crew AS WELL AS winning Hiero shit like water flasks, an autographed pic, medallions, and more!
Enter Now and attempt to go down in Hip-Hop History!
Casual has finished recording 2 seperate albums, which are to be released once the "Hiero Family Album" launches. Both of Cas' new albums are to be released on his own label, Cas. Flow. I'll try to get some new sound clips soon.
Snupe has followed in the footsteps of Casual and has formed his own record label, Security. He is currently mastering his 2nd album, which has yet to be titled. More news soon!
Del's show was held at a small "venue" of types of UCLA's campus which could only hold a maximum capacity of 200 people. The show was to start at 8 pm, but word has it that the capacity was met at 7:30, so, of course, some people got pissed. Among the people to get pissed was a man who aledgedly was making bomb threats. The only group to get on stage and flex rhymes was Mass Quantity. Del, nor Aceyalone (Or the rumored appearance by the Alkaholicks) were able to get on the mic. The entire venue was shut down and everyone was asked to leave. A sad ending to what could have been a hella phat show.
According to Tajai, Del has implemented styles from his first album (I.E. Narrative aspects), as well as his ill flow, concocoted on "No Need". Of course we can depend on Del to flex new skills, such as those exercised on his "Untitled" track--Only available on this page.
Hiero members will also be making an appearance on Del's album. Of them, Casual did a song with Del entitled, "Checkin' Out the Rivalry" as well as Opio on a track called, "Oakland Blackout". When I asked about production on the new album, all I was told was, "Man--Domino stepped up on production! That dude is on his own level--He's sick!" More news as it developes.
The new groups such as The O12, First Light, etc probably will not see a release into stores as whole albums; that's not to say they might not make it onto a b-side of some sort. Everything is up in tha air as of now. Hiero, basically, just wanted to see what happens when they work with different "teammates."
"The new Hiero teams is just to see what happens," one member told me. "We're just seein' where it goes, how the fans like it." However cuts such as Del's untitled track will most likely see album play. The same goes for Extra Prolific with his two songs, "You're Searching" and "On The Microphone", as well as Casual's new track, "Hundreds of Rhymes".
We plan on bringing you Hiero headz new sound clips such as these to show you just what Hiero is doing. This is your web page! Your Comments are always welcomed!
