The following are the archived news that was once displayed on Hiero Online at one point, but was archived due to being out-of-date.
You'll find some interesting shit in here, though.

- Souls of Mischief will be in Pasadiena, California on Saturday December 16th.
New news as of December 11th, 1995
- Souls and possibly other members of Hieroglyphics will be heading out to Milwaukee, Wisconsin on the eve of New Year's day. As of 12.11.95, I am not sure as to where, with whom, or why Milwaukee. When it developes, I'll have new news on this show.
New News as of December 4th, 1995
- Good news for any Casual fans out there! Casual has formed his own independent label known as Cash/Cas Flow (I'm not sure which one it is yet--I'll let you know real soon). As reported here earlier, Casual has approximately 30 songs already done, so an album doesn't seem too far away. Cash/Cas Flow is not a subsidiary of any other label, making Casual the CEO of the Cash/Cas Flow. As more news develops on this issue, you know where to find it.
- More fools ask me about Del's new album than I can even count! DEL has finally gone from 4-track to studio production over @ Elektra. If all goes well, we May have some exclusive sound clips of Del's new shit as well as some other Hiero projects very soon. . .Stay Tuned
New News as of November 11th, 1995
- Production on DEL's new album, which has yet to be titled, is moving beautifully. Many tracks are finished, and we can expect to see a product soon. One track on the new album entitled, "Slave Master" is a song about the record industry; it's crooked execs. and practices, and overall, just how much of a bitch it is. I was told that DEL has taken a more narrative approach on his 3rd outing, going back to the days of I Wish My Brother george Was Here when he use to tell stories and what not (Kinda like, "Wrong Place, Wrong Time"). I've also been informed that DEL doesn't have such a pissed off aura to him on the new album. Reason being is that DEL pretty much relinquished his negative thoughts on the industry and on wack mc's on his second album, so there's no need to do it again (At least for the time being). That's all the new info I have now. Stay tuned.
- Mike G is still cool with Hiero. For all those who wrote in asking why his name was not mentioned in the No Man's Land booklet as a member of Hiero, don't worry. Mike G had to go back to school, and therefor had to take a breather from Hiero and their hectic schedule. Hierollas still talk to Mike, and there is absolutely NO hostility towards him for leaving.
- Casual and Extra Prolific both have albums done. They are currently in negotiations with various labels for a possible contract. More soon...
Vinyl Fans Hold Tight!
Orders for No Man's Land vinyl have been submitted! They are currently in the pressing phase of production. Expect them shortly.
Pep Love & JBiz News
- The only crew from Hieroglyphics that has not yet put out an album is Pep & JBiz. Now, that's not to say they haven't been workin', cause they have--For uh while now. Tracks such as Rock On and Undisputed Champs clearly showcase the talents of the group. So what does the future hold for Pep and JBiz?...
- It seems everytime Pep & JBiz are about to start studio work on their album, something goes wrong. The group has had numerous problems with record labels, and just hasn't had the opportunity to put out a professional album. The group has tons of songs done and recorded--There's just numerous hassels with labels that are holding them back. HieroGlyphics is planning to start their own label (See below), which would hopefully kill all this waiting and time consumption. When new news breaks on that, we'll have it here.
- You can expect to see Pep & JBiz on the "Hiero Crew album" soon to be released (See Below). More soon...
- JBiz is currently touring with Souls of Mischief, and it is expected that Pep will also join the bandwagon when the crew rolls back to the West coast this November.
DEL thafunkeehomosapian News
- DEL is currently working on his 3rd album and, contrast to what most think, is still on Elektra Records. I have been informed by one Hiero member, that there is still some friction between DEL and Elektra, and we could see DEL possibly going to an independent label (Loud Records was also mentioned as a possibility).
- No release date has been mentioned for DEL's 3rd album...Keep looking here for more info.
- DEL is working on other side projects such as production on Souls of Mischief's new album, No Man's Land, as well as tracks for casual and Extra Pro.
- More news soon to come...
Souls of Mischief News
- The biggest news for SOM is their upcoming release of No Man's Land on October 10th.
- Souls will be going on tour starting October 22nd with Pharcyde, Jay Biz and Pep Love, as well as Skee-Lo. You can be sure we will have all the tour dates here, at tHa thReshHOlD.
- Members of SOM are doing some testing in the lab...Just to see "what happens". SOM members are doing little side projects with other Souls members and playing around with whateva comes out. "It's probably somethin' we'll just give out at concerts", says SOM's Tajai.
- Production on No Man's Land is deep, consisting of over 8+ producers in all! Members, A-Plus, Tajai, Casual, Toure', JBiz, Snupe, Domino, DEL, Pep Love and possibly more took most of the production burden off A-Plus' shoulder this time around. The final product should be interesting.
- "Cab Fare" is *NOT* on No Man's Land but like many unreleased Hiero songs, IS available underground as a B-Side mix. The sample to "Taxi" could not be cleared, thus the song could not make the final album cut.
Casual News
- Casual was indeed dropped by Jive, but that hasn't stopped him from cooking up more dope shit. Casual has 11+ songs already finished and is in current negotiations with 2 or more major record labels. Cas. is also messing with the idea on going independent...
- Casual, of course, is doing production on other Hiero member's albums, of which most recent is the new SOM.
HieroGlyphic's News
- An entire HieroGlyphic crew album has begun, but is not scheduled for release any time soon. Hiero has too much going on now, but promises that when it does hit, tha shit'll be like nothing you've ever heard before.
- Talk of an independent HieroGlyphics label is being discussed, but nothing is etched in stone as of yet.
