Hi. Let me introduce myself. I am Wobble Karnoff Kaduck of the Planet, Blipnode Sky-Stick. To the left is a picture of the actual new single by the Hiero Crew: "YOU NEVER KNEW". Pick it up if you haven't already. But directly above me are the email addresses and phone numbers to every major video network currently in posession of the new Hiero video. CALL THESE NUMBERS! It's most likely our best chance to have the thing played. We are so numerous online, we can definately get this thing air time! Flood them as much as possible and perhaps you'll be able to see the video beyond the murkiness that is RealVideo. Thanks!

Hi. My name's Jake. That's me jumping off cliffs like a nut. Anyway...

In early June I received a call from Domino alerting me that video director Michael Lucero had died in May. I had personally never met Michael, but the crew always spoke highly of him and I held his videos in quite high regard. He was able to make a very stylistic yet organic video preserving the personality of the artists. Domino told me that the crew wanted to see if I was interested in directing the next video. I was. What happened next was a month of concepts that came close but didn't quite hit their mark. During this time, Tajai and Plee went to Hawaii and hooked up with Lucas Seno, a local promoter and film production worker. As they tell it, they were chillin in Hawai saying, "We should do a video out here." By mid-July, I had a Hawaii concept together and Alex Tse (producer), Tajai, and Myself were on a plane to Hawaii for the shoot. We location scouted for 2 days covering 75% of the island by car in 1 day. I marked all of the spots that looked cool and took polaroids for my own storyboard purposes.
I chose which artists I wanted in which location and Alex designed the production schedule accordingly. The rest of the Crew came in 2 days later and at 5 am the next day we were up, driving to the first spot. It was four days of shooting all around the island. There were plenty of misquito bites, sun burns, and female swoonies. Hiero did 2 shows, one ended up in the video. Weather wasn't always on our side, but we did have sun 80% of the time. Lucas Seno hooked the crew up with VIP passes all over the island. What's it called Triznathaniel...?... There were plenty late night charades and stories to boot. The UFO siting. The shark attack. Domino gets followed. Jay Biz the production intern. Toure the pimp. And the incredible sleep in any position Plee. It was a lot of fun. And I believe the video illustrates the fun times and unique personality that is what makes Hieroglyphics who they are.
