A
solo Pep Love comes tight as PHUCK on one of the illest historical
tales ever recited in a hiphop song. The cut is deep, with
much vivid imagery laced throughout. This cut appeared on
the "Defenders of the Underowrld" compilation through
Battle Axe Records. 1999 |

I
got this track from Tajai back in 1996. I'm really not sure
where it originates but it's labeled as "The Prose"
so I'm going to take a guess and say Jay did the beat?. 1995-6? |

Including
Opio of Souls of Mischief, this smooth little number consists
of PepLove as well, forming the group "First Light"
whom you may remember made their official debut on "3rd
Eye Vision". Unreleased. 1995. |

After
the crew members left their respective major labels, there
was a lot of experimentation within the crew before "3rd
Eye Vision" was even conceived. While this was happening,
members of the crew would teamup with other members and form
sub-groups such as the aforementioned teamup with PepLove
& Opio as "First Light". Another team up, "Compound
7" featured Pep and A-Plus of Souls of Mischief. This
song was recorded under that group moniker. Only a snippet,
but another from the trenches! 1995. |
