Del & The S.D.'s

>>
Cyberpunks
Del comes so sick on this song, it still leaves me speechless. Sucked into a computer, Del finds himself in a cyber world where a digital entity is trying to maintain his body and it is up to Del to escape. Need I say more? This track can be found on the Strength Magazine comp. "Subtext". 1999.

? (That Shit!)
Wooooooow...Why this didn't make any version of "Future Development" is beyond me. Pep & Del FREAK this beat with A-Plus closing it off lovely. Plea's vocals are a bit low as the track was never fully mixed, and to this day the cut remains nameless. Watch for it to appear on a Hiero compilation, no doubt. 1996.

>>
Oakland Blackouts (Original)
Although this track currently appears on "3rd Eye Vision", it was originally recorded for Del's "Future Development". The original version of the song features a completely different bassline, and "Snupe" of Extra Prolific fame gets props at the end of the song, before he was no longer a member of the group. 1995.

>>
Cold Cuts / No Nuts (Original)
"Cold Cuts" AKA "No Nuts" was originally recorded for "Future Development" in 1995. The track was pulled and brought over to "3rd Eye Vision" where Del's original 3 verses were now shared with a lyrically lethal Pep Love. You won't find Pep on this track, however. Here it is in its original state. 1995.

>>
No Crossbreeds
Yet another track originally recorded for "Future Development". This one is currently stashed away in the vaults. 1995.

>>
Love Is Worth (Original)
This is the original version of the song as recorded for Elektra's "Future Development". When the album was brought out online, the song was changed. The original features a slightly different beat with a female voice to compliment the chorus! 1995.

>>

Nowadays
An oldie from way back, Del freaks this cut lovely. Just peep. Available on Hiero Oldies Vol. II. 1992.

>>
Crazy Del Song
Just shortly after the official release of "I Wish My Brother George Was Here", Del began to develop his own sound, sans then-partner and cousin, Ice Cube. Hiero Heads got a taste when "Eye Examination" appeared as a B-Side to the "Dr. Bombay" 12" single. However, said song was actually the last cut in a 3-part track, aptly titled "Crazy Del Song". You've (hopefully) heard "Eye Exam" before. Here are the first two parts of the multi-tiered cut, now officially housed on Hiero Oldies Vol. I. 1992.

>>
Left Field
Produced by Del, this cut saw the reemergence of Unicron alongside of the titanic Vancouver-based crew Swollen Members, from whom the 12" was courtesy of. A mind-numbing experience. 1998.

>>
Untitled (Toenail)
One of those obscure Del cuts, I think stemming from a small tape he put out in the Bay shortly after "No Need For Alarm"?. 1994-5?

>>
The Ill Shit
I had stumbled onto a horrible copy of this song from a friend in New York. Thankfully Domino has put a much better version of the song on Hiero Oldies Vol. II. Yet another Del cut from the archives. 1995.

>>
The Doctor Is In
Again, from the archives. Del assumes the role of Doctor letting the suckers know who's in and who's out. Also available on Hiero Oldies Vol. II. 1994.

>>
Burnt
The song that introduced the world to the Hiero Crew. First appearing in 1991 on the Elektra-released 12" to "Mistadobalina" the song features the likes of A-Plus, Tajai, Casual, Opio and Del all on the same track. Now available on Hiero B-Sides. 1991.

>>
Ahonetwo, Ahonetwo REMIX
Memories, memories...Appearing alongside "Burnt" as a B-Side treat on the "Mistadobalina" 12", this remix not only features a new beat but new lyrics as well. Now residing on Hiero B-Sides compilation. 1991.

>>
Eye Examination
This song is important for a couple of reasons. Originally the B-Side to the "Dr. Bombay" 12", the song sounded quite different from the P-Funk-inspired beats of Del's then current album, "I Wish My Brother George Was Here". Hiero Heads later found out via Hiero Oldies Vol. I that this song was originally part of a longer, 3-tiered cut including "Crazy Del Song" and another untitled jam. Eye Examination can now be found on Hiero B-Sides, and the latter part of its original existence can be found on Hiero Oldies Vol. I. The song is important because it was an introduction of what was to come later on Del's sophomore effort "No Need For Alarm" and was also a sign of Del parting ways with the P-Funk sound made legendary by cousin, Ice Cube. 1994.

Made In America - SD50's Mix
Anyone remember a Whoppie Goldberg movie called "Made In America"? Well, that's where this track stems from. The original single had a total of 3 different mixes, this being Dante Ross' SD50 mix. There was even a video as well (if memory serves, in a laundry mat??). The cut can now be found on Hiero B-Sides. 1994.

>>
Catch a Bad One REMIX
Tajai accompanies Del on this remix to one of the biggest Hiero classic cuts ever. New beat, new lyrics. Currently available on Hiero B-Sides. 1994.

>>
Wrongplace REMIX
Woooooow....Talk about DRIGGIDY....Del freaks this remix with an all new beat and twisted up lyrics. Currently being housed on Hiero B-Sides. 1994.

>>
Undisputed Champs
Could they not have picked a better title? Del, Q-Tip and PepLove take turns raping the microphone and shitting on emcees. A classic cut if there ever was one. Originally a B-Side to Del's "Wrongplace" 12", the track can now be enjoyed in its entirety on the Hiero B-Sides collection. 1992.

>>
For All to See
Appearing on Bay Rider Records in 1997, this is a cut by Neighborhood King Pinz featuring Del. 1997. Thanks to HipHopSite for the audio grab.

>>
At the Helm
Originally recorded for the nearly lost "Future Development" album, the timing was so close to "3rd Eye Vision" that Del & Co. decided it would be better served on the latter. 1995-6.
