Mad
long ago we reported that The Prose (PepLove &
JayBiz) were formally entering the studio to begin work
on their untitled debut album. Although the duo began
as "The Shamen" all the way back in 1991,
the 2 have yet to put out a full-length project. Tape
traders will be aware that the pair have MASSIVE amounts
of classic material; many of which can be found on the
Hiero
Oldies Collections. So what's the deal? Every member
of the Hiero Camp are preparing their respective albums,
but word on The Prose has been tight. Here's what I
was able to sniff up.
PepLove is currently readying his own solo album, entitled
"Ascension". He can be found presently
on the BattleAxe Records compilation, "Defenders
of the Underworld". Expect Pep's album before a
Prose album (no timelines are presently available).
This is not to say that The Prose are not working together
in parallel to Pep's solo debut. The Prose as a team
are currently featured on Strength Magazine's "Subtext"
album, officially.
The pair have massive amounts of new material, and you
can be assured that an album will be released in the
coming year. And then of course, there's JayBiz.
Jay himself is releasing a solo album of sorts, in the
form of an instrumental journey into the cat's dome
piece. Hopefully we can get the two together for an
interview, so MAKE
NOISE and let em know you care!
At present, no new material is available for audible
intake. However, expect more as we roll closer to January.
