Originally
released March 24th, 1998 on Hieroglyphics Imperium
Records, "3rd
Eye Vision" marked the return of the Hieroglyphics
crew in true independent form; seemingly unshaken after
leaving the confines of their not-so-rosey Major Label
pens. Distributed by Ground Level Distribution, 3EV
did moderately well in itching itself into stores across
the country. Amongst delays and backorders, fans were
able to receive a copy with a little bit of searching
and patience.
March 6th, 2001--almost 3 full years since its debut--"3rd
Eye Vision" will be re-released into stores nationwide
on a much, much larger scale. Picking up distribution
duties will be RED; a company responsible for the distribution
of LOUD Records' stock, as well as past Hiero Imperium
Releases, "Both
Sides of the Brain" and "Trilogy".
Saddening, yes, that no extra tracks will be added to
the re-release, fans who may not have heard the Hiero
Family Album will finally have a chance to pick up a
copy. And for what is shaping up to be a Hiero year
to remember with a confirmed 3
releases on the way, new fans will now have a chance
to dig a little deeper into the crew's past.
