Tsk,
tsk, tsk, tsk...And who among you have not gone out
and grabbed a copy of "Trilogy"
yet? Released on October 24th, 2000, Souls of Mischief's
3rd record, "Trilogy", has managed to garner
14,592 sales via SoundScan according to information
provided by Red Distribution. While for an independent
record, the numbers are good, they in no way hold a
candle to sales of Del's "Both
Sides of the Brain" which managed to rank up
similar numbers in its first
week of availability. To date, since its release
on April 11th, 2000, Del's "Both Sides of the Brain"
has accumulated a sell-through number of 60,171 units
based on SoundScan totals.
While accurate in their respective markets, not all
stores report to SoundScan, especially international
imports and many mom & pop shops. Additionally,
we are uncertain as to whether online distributors such
as CDNow & Amazon, among others, report numbers
to SoundScan.
Souls of Mischief plan to release a 2nd video from "Trilogy",
the first of which was "Medication"
which saw only limited distribution to video outlets.
If you haven't gotten it yet, go get "Trilogy"!
Many feel mired by opinions posted online, and it seems
silly to me. Don't expect "93 Til" cause you
will not get it. And to expect anything from anything
is energy best served elsewhere. Clear your mind, go
get it, and enjoy it.
