S.E.P.T.E.M.B.E.R. 23 .1.9.9.8.
The Hiero Crew didn't show up in Albany NY, why the f not? I'm a die-hard Hiero fan in the upstate NY, and I was all into this show coming
cuz when the hell else will they come so close to where I live...and then
they cancel? I must say i was pretty pissed...but I still like em. So do
you know why they were a no-show?
Yea, sorry dude. That totally sucks. Unfortunately pre-sales of the tickets left everyone reponsible for the show to believe the turnout would be lackluster, and thus, the show was cancelled. Shit like that's a shame. No diss to Albany heads cause I'm sure if you're reading
this, yall had tickets, but this is yet another good reason for
Hiero Heads to go out and get their tickets in advance!
When's the site opening??
Is it after the tour?? There better be a bunch of new ish on the
page cause it's been down for a hella long time!
The good
news is we have exited pre-production, and are now in full-swing
production of the new site. The thing is, not only is the site
going through a MAJOR cosmetic change, but the backend of the
site is going through an overhaul as well. The site has grown
so big so fast, that certain parts were either outdated or looking
dull, or completely neglected with their fare share of broken
links. So what we're doing is pulling everything together, making
it much more efficent and a hellof a lot cleaner. What you are
reading now is phase 1 of the new site. Watch for more parts to
open as we progress.
Yo...Where the hell is the video??
Ah yes...We
haven't been sleeping on that. Watch for more news regarding the
video very shortly (I know you love that answer right? ;)
Any word on when the single's dropping? Any remixes?
Word, the single's suppose to be dropping on the 29th of this month, that is of course if the pressing plant stays on top of it so we'll keep you up. But we got a nice little butter track on the b-side produced by Casual called "Heat". Remember the infamous old school cut "Burnt"? Well, here's the new skool
What's the word on DEL'S new project?
Right now the new album from the funkee man himself is called "Both Sides of the Brain" and is tentatively scheduled for a December release with January more likely. Here's what Del himself had to say recently regarding the new record: "I'm trying to come with straight heat for every song. I got tons of lyrics, man. Right now we're concentraing heavy on beats...For those looking for some more experimental stuff or whatever, that's for later. Or maybe for the web...I'm aiming for pure satisfaction". The album has an estimated 20 tracks with production ranging from Domino, to Casual to A-Plus to Del himself. Work with Sir Menelik has already transpired, with attention from Prince Paul, El-P, Automator and others all focused on the new release. More as it progresses.
Could you give me the adress of that site that broadcasted the webcast of the Hiero show in Toronto 9-19-98?
Word, it comes courtesy www.virtualnoise.com, and the archived video itself is located Here.
