whispers of a hieroglyphics "family album"
had begun even before this site took conception in 1995.
the hieros were a scattered bunch having left or been
dropped from their respective labels. fans didn't know
where the crew went and things began to look dim. the
web page took shape in the late summer of 1995 and became
officially branded the "hiero hideout" 1 month
later in september 1995. through use of the web page
hiero delivered underground goods via the emporium to
generate funds for the recording of what would soon
become "3rd eye vision". on march 23rd 1998,
more than 3 years of conception, recording and remaining
somewhat quiet to the non-wired world behind them, 3ev
was released nationwide and hiero had successfully replanted
themselves into hiphop's foucs; and they did it 100%
independently. a historical teamup of emcees and an
album not to be missed. |
