OVERVIEW: Del Took The Role of a 
Computer Dork By Hitting The Keys 
With Fans Via IRC!
Here's What Happened.

 No Thanx To All Those Who Play IRC Politics. . .

First off, let me give my apologies to all who were running around at 2:30 PST trying to find the location of the chat! I got into some personal problems, which made for some excessive tardiness on my behalf! My apologies go out to you!

The chat kicked off around 2:45 PST, 15 minutes after it was suppose to. While waiting for fans to attend the chat, Del spoke to me about how he had just got a new Sega Saturn and how he wanted to whup my ass in Tohshinden Remix. (He says he has skills with Ehji, but I told him my masterful command of Fo would have him crying on the ground in spasms). Also attending the chat was Manager/producer, Domino as well as Tajai. Although neither hit the keys, they watched the whole chat from the background.

Heads began to pour in soon enough. At first the chat was unmoderated, and people could ask questions at their leisure. This, soon enough, became a bad idea as more and more fans began to come in and attack Del with every question on their minds. Del appreciated all the support and love showed by the fans, but was overwhelmed and asked that I moderate the chat.

One person at a time was given the "right" to ask their question. Once their question was asked, their voice was "taken away" and the only one whould come speak would be Del. Some questions asked were the following:

  • When asked about his 3rd album, Future Developement Del boldly stated that the project was scrraped and all his attention is being focused into the Family Album. He also commented later on that he was in fact dropped from Elektra, but going Indy was something they were considering anyway.

  • Someone asked what was up with Del and his white girl, after he got done talking all that, "Dark skin girls are better than light skin" on the first album. Del replied that at the time of writing that song, he had a lot of anger built up into him, which was exercised by writing that song. He stated that after it was released, his thoughts had changed, and he began to accept everyone for who they are. He also noted the fact that his white girlfriend was the daughter of Greatful Dead singer, Jerry Garcia. They are no longer together, but Del made it be known that his new girl whups his ass in X-Men on Sega Saturn.

  • When questioned about his intake of drugs, Del boldly stated that he only does "legal shit" now, and may puff a bit of marijuana here or there. He followed up by stating that he was no longer into the hard drugs such as 'shrooms and other hallucinogenics.

  • Del let everyone in on his current lifestyle which consists of taking Japanese-speaking classes in the hopes of one day doing character design for video games. He seemed very excited about this whole thing. In fact, after the chat, he had to go to school for a class.

    In all it was an exciting chat session which lasted some 2 hours. If you feel I left any of Del's points out, let me know and I'll update this editorial.
