Review of Hiero Show at Washington U.
& The Gargoyle Club
St. Louis, MO
September 27th, 1996
By Chase

Del Sitting On September 27th, the Hieroglyphics Imperium performed at Washington University in St. Louis, MO. Del was the first to come out and he did some of his classic songs like, "Ahonetwo, Ahonetwo" and "MistaDobalina". Then, Souls of Mischief, without A-Plus, rampaged the stage and wrecked it with classic Souls songs, [as well as new ones].

Next, Pep Love and Del performed "Undisputed Champs". Casual definitely rocked the crowd with his smooth freestyle flow and his classic shit. Hiero then introduced their new material, which had that huge crowd going! They then ended their first performance with their [infamous] freestyle session! From there, they went over to the Gargoyle Club to perform again.

Taj & Cas. Opening up was DJ Alejan rocking shit to get the crowd hyped. No thanx to the soundman for not getting the sound straight, and wrecking the DAT. Without the DAT, Hiero could not rock the classic Hiero cuts. Hiero, not at all worried, just rocked shit with a long freestyle session, and they still got the crowd open! Luckily, they did perform some classic Hiero cuts thanx to DJ Alejan. Souls performed "93 Til' Infinity" and Casual ended the performance with "That's When Ya Lost" [Chase -- Are you sure this was the song CASUAL ended with?? -Stink]. Undoubtedly, Hieroglyphics can rock a show even when things don't go their way. If you have never witnessed Hieroglyphics live, I suggest you go out and see them when they roll through your city.
